Welcome to the Miss Black New York USA website! The Miss Black New York USA Pageant is an affiliate of the Miss Black USA Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc. A non-profit corporation, recognized under the 501(c)3 Code of Internal Revenue Service. The Miss Black USA Pageant celebrates scholastic achievement and believes that education is the key to lifelong success and empowerment.

It is the mission of Miss Black USA Pageant to provide educational opportunities to outstanding young women of color and to develop the "whole woman mind, body and spirit".

Several of our contestants have never participated in a pageant before and they all find the experience worthwhile and meet many new friends. Many contestants have taken the title on their first shot and others return because of the positive experience they had in our program.

The Miss Black New York Pageant is produced by the Amoeji Foundation. The Amoeji Foundation’s mission is to mentor and advocate for underrepresented young women and instill in them valuable tools to ensure that they lead successful and fulfilling lives. The foundation develops workshops that include training on tangible skill based careers and promotes entrepreneurship.

After reviewing all the information on our website, if you are interested in becoming a contestant please feel free to apply. There is a minimal application fee required to apply. Once we receive your complete application, it will be reviewed by the pageant committee. If your application is approved, you will need to participate in either a personal interview or a phone interview before being accepted as an official contestant.
